Description

No more smashed sandwiches. The LunchBots Uno of stainless steel will keep your favorite wrap as fresh as the moment it was made. This sturdy container will hold a large sandwich, burrito, or whatever you choose to nosh. The lid--available in embossed stainless steel, powder coated blue, or powder coated purple--easily presses into place and won’t slide off during transport. Pair it with the LunchBots Duo, which has a nifty divider to hold two snacks or sides. You can eat with confidence, knowing that LunchBots will never leach harmful chemicals or heavy metals into your food. Safe, reusable, and fun to use, LunchBots are the modern way for kids and adults alike to bring lunch.

Features

Design
  • Durable container securely holds large sandwich or other main dish
  • Fabricated of stainless steel, Lunchbots will not leach harmful chemicals or metals into food
  • Attractive blue lid is powder coated on top
  • Hand wash painted lids; plain stainless lid and body of case are dishwasher safe
  • Best for dry foods, as lids are not water tight
Materials
LunchBots lids and containers are made of high quality, food grade, Type 304 stainless steel. Stainless steel is an alloy made from natural elements: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen, and manganese. Type 304 stainless is a composition of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, commonly known as 18/8 stainless.

The LunchBots lids are powder coated for a splash of color. Powder coating is a durable finish that does not emit any volatile organic compounds (VOC). The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven. Any overspray is recycled and reused. The bottom of each lid is not powder coated and is the natural color of stainless steel.

Safety
Lunchbots are made of type 304 stainless steel, the same material used to make coffee urns, sinks, cooking pots. Lunchbots will not leach harmful chemicals or absorb food flavors and odors. Plastic reusable containers, on the other hand, will degrade over time and may leach potentially harmful chemicals.

Care Instructions
Lunchbots are dishwasher safe (except for the powder-coated lids) and may also be washed in warm, soapy water.

About the Manufacturer
The LunchBots company is dedicated to creating safe, usable, and fun food containers that both parents and kids love. LunchBots are a healthful alternative to plastic containers for packing lunch to go. Many recent studies have raised questions about the toxicity of plastics. The Lunchbots company believes that plastic materials do not belong in food containers, especially ones our children use.

Sustainability

Sustainability
Using containers like LunchBots in place of sandwich baggies does the planet a favor. Yes, plastic sandwich and snack bags are super handy when you're packing lunches. But consider how many bags you use in a day, a week, a month, a year. Think about how much money you're spending on something that just gets thrown away.

The average American family discards 1,500 plastic bags each year. As a nation, we throw away an estimated 100,000,000,000 plastic bags annually. Worldwide, it's more than 500 billion!

Think about what happens to those bags after you've tossed them out. A typical sandwich bag can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. As it breaks down, it releases hazardous petroleum by-products into our soil and waterways, which become part of our food chain. We are passing on a contaminated planet to our children and grandchildren—simply for our own convenience.
